The podcasts I listen and subscribe to, plain and simple. Updated over time, as I’m too lazy to include of them at once.
Diggnation – Weekly podcast approximately 45:00 in length. A weekly discussion between ex-TechTV hosts Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose. All stories discusse3d are from the weekly social bookmarking news site digg.com. Tech news with some beer discussion and humor thrown in.
Audio Quality – A+. Hosts are well mic’d and easy to understand. Addition of Dolby surround headphone technology in episode 14 is exceptional.
This Week in Tech – Weekly podcast approximately 70 minutes in length. A weekly roundtable between old TechTV personalities and important technology related people of today. Hosted by Leo Laporte and frequented by John C. Dvorak, Patrick Norton, Rpbert Heron, Kevin Rose, Alex Lindsey and others. A roundup of hot technology and news topics and reminiscing about older technologies and TechTV.
Audio Quality – A-. Hosts are well mic’d and easy to understand. Occasionally talking over each other too much, and older episodes include the dreaded “Skype conference call” sound. Moved to a live format and then to a studio format and the quality has gone up since.
weeklyradioaddress.com – The official parody podcast of the President’s weekly radio address. Produced weekly by the Onion, the guy who does it got a cease and desist order from the actual White House because he uses the Presidential Seal without permission. If you’re not a Republican, you’ll probably find this hysterical. If you are, you’re probably condemning me to hell right about now.
Audio Quality – A+, direct mic’d, professionally produced, no need to think about it.
